The Honorable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq Said that payment for npower Exited Beneficiaries including the 14,000 npower volunteers that was not paid, she said payment for all the stipends plus backlog payment has been approved.
According to Her, the approval have been sent to the Accountant General of the Federation- AGF for further scrutiny check before dispatching payments to all exited Beneficiaries nationwide.
And according to Umar Sadiya the only outstanding Payment approval yet to be forwarded to the Accountant General’s office is Batch B July stipends payment 2020.

Also it may interest you to note that The Ministry revealed that roughly about 14,000 Npower beneficiaries that were omitted by the Accountant General’s Office during the payment of March to June 2020 could be among those rejected by the GIPMIS Payment Platform due to discrepancies identified with their accounts as conveyed to the ministry by the AGF’s office.
According to the report from the AGF’s office, any beneficiary receiving payment from other government payment platforms will be rejected by the Government Integrated Financial Management System (GIPMIS). Hence their payment will be withheld, you see reason why the 14000 npower Volunteers did not get paid from March till date, but that aside npower have reinstated their commitment and also their stance on clearing all the stipends including backlog payment in the shortest possible time, it may not be this week but it will definitely not exceed next week.
Because according to the Chairperson of all the Npower Focal Persons in the country, has given an assurance to all npower beneficiary, stating that in due time, payment will start.

According to Npower Chairperson for npower Focal persons, he attributed npower delay payments to the 14000 npower beneficiaries whose payment was rejected by the AGF’s Office since March till date, so before any payment will be made, the reason or the problem behind the rejection of payment to the 14000 npower volunteers will have to be sorted out first before payment can begin.
The July stipends payment will be the last lap of payment for npower Batch A and B beneficiaries respectively as npower is about to usher in Npower batch c Applicants into the npower Scheme.

The presentation highlighted the strategy of fmhds towards the achievement of food security and attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (specifically Goal 2 to end hunger), attainment of food security & improved nutrition and promotion of sustainable agriculture by 2030, in congruence with the relevant stakeholders.
