NALDA- National Young Farmers Scheme to Kick off 10th Nov 2020 It has come to our Knowledge that President Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr Buhari will Flag off NALDA National Young farmers Scheme on the Tuesday 10th of November 2020.

It’s the time of the year again where the youths will have to go back to farms to cultivate what the Country will feed on, if you’er those who registered for National young farmers Scheme Under NALDA, you’er excepted to prepare your mind and get your self ready to visit your farm anytime soon.

National Young Farmers Scheme was set up to Encourage and to let youths understand the importance of farming and also to make them know that they too can live a comfortable life taking farming as a profession, they can also employ people to work for them, Mr President is trying to reduce the rate of unemployment in the country that is why National Young Farmers came to Being, if you as a youth key into this, it will be profitable to you and to those around you, farming this days is lucrative, Under the National Young Farmers Scheme, NALDA will focus on encouraging the Nigerian youth to participate in agriculture. This projects final goal would be to encourage, empower and guide 1000 farmers from each of the 774 LGAs in Nigeria each year. This programme is intended to cut across all facets of agriculture.

The National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) is in charge of this programme. NALDA is a body established in 1992 but it went into extinction in 2000. However under the administration of the President Muhammadu Buhari, it was revived to carry out its mandate of developing rural communities through agriculture and to make agriculture a business and a source of wealth creation for the country. sector.

NALDA is currently running a pilot programme that involves 100 farmers from each of the 774 LGAs of the country. For more information about this scheme visit a NALDA office closest to you.
