What is Direct Short Service Commission DSSC in NAF
The Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) is a type of commission in the NAF which is open to both civilians and serving military personnel. The Course provides the avenue for the enlistment of degree holders who are professionals in specified fields. Training period for this type of commission is usually 6 months of intensive military training and successful candidates are commissioned into the rank of Flying Officer.

NAF DSSC RECRUITMENT REQUIREMWNTS 2021
- Applicants must be a Nigerian Citizen
- Applicants must be single {not married}
- Medical Consultants: Candidates should be between the ages of 25 40 years. Candidates born before 29 September 1982 are not eligible)
- Chaplain / Imams: Candidates must be between the ages of 20 32 years. Candidates born before 29 September 1990 are not eligible.
- The Exercise is not for serving personnel desiring Branch Commission. Therefore, personnel above 30 years of age born before 29 September 1992 need not apply.
- The minimum height is 1.66m or 5.4ft for males and 1.63m or 5.3ft for females.
